Camping Europa Menaggio, is a historic campsite situated in the center of Lake Como, family-run since its establishment by the Bertarelli family, in addition to hospitality it also offers a relationship with the customer that few tourist receptions can boast.
The “Tourist Facility” is located 10 minutes walk from the center of Menaggio, a village which, having a central position on the Lario, is easily reachable from Milan and other renowned places in the surrounding area by its own means or by public transport.
Ideal starting point for boat trips to admire the beautiful landscapes that the lake offers and to visit the numerous villas that look out on its banks, Menaggio is well served by public boats and equipped with Ferry-boat docking, as well as have numerous centers for boat rental.
Even mountain lovers will find ideal departure, instead, for walks along the paths of the Val Sanagra Park and some Natural Reserves nearby, or for more challenging trails along the route of the “Via Ferrata” on Mount Grona, many are also the mountain bike trails that wind through the nearby valleys.
Here, therefore, that Camping Europa, discreetly shaded and terraced , is fully introduced in this landscaped and natural environment , being set in a strip of land that,on one side, behind it (100 mt.) finds a rock wall ” Falesia ” , used as a gym by climbers from all over the world , and on the other side, directly overlooks the lake through the small natural beach ” Lerai “, where for free, you can enjoy sunny days, relaxing and swimming, and evenings where in good company, you can engage barbecues admiring the night scenery of the lake.
At Camping Europa Menaggio, in addition to pitches for tents, campers and caravans, you will find available to rent, bungalows with or without bathroom, equipped with everything you need for your holiday. Inside, it is active a small kiosk-bar to buy drinks and basic foodstuffs (although, there is a supermarket just 300 mt. away), as well as different types of gas bottles, possibility mooring buoy rental, possibility to hire pedal boats, small boats and kayaks, on request also with help of a local guide.
The Camping Europa in Menaggio, surrounded by greenery and directly on the lake with access to the beach, thanks to its location and also to the welcome of the Staff, is therefore able to offer its customers a serene holiday, “italian” a bit “Vintage”, with sometimes romantic and rétrò, in harmony with the water and the surrounding environment and suitable for different needs.
The Organization of some country cultural and tourist events, Jazz or Classical music Festivals, Film Festivals on Nature, also in nearby locations(depending on the period) such as Lugano, Como and Sondrio, as well as various parties outdoor, disco-pubs, bars and restaurants, they don’t allow to the tourist or traveler to miss a lot.
